An exhibition that showcases the world of gemstones in an unusual way. It's not about jewelry, but nearly 200 minerals from the collection of Roger Caillois, a French writer of the 20th century. The natural forms and patterns of rocks evoke images or landscapes, and he does not hesitate to draw parallels between the mineral world and human experience. Black onyx summons the night of the imagination, septaria become enigmatic hieroglyphs, and multicolored agates bring forth an abundance of images. Roger Caillois spoke of "involuntary paintings of the sleepwalking nature." The journey is constructed as a constant dialogue between the stones and his texts.
