A Splash of Color for the Holidays?
As the shop windows light up and the days shorten, gemstones take the lead: they provide that dose of light and warmth needed to navigate the season.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Poiray's "Ma Préférence" ring. This infinitely customizable and modular ring allows each wearer to play with colored stones and materials to create a truly personal piece of jewelry. A ring, now and forever: after the Plum Blossom, Marie-Hélène de Taillac turns to the Sunflower to brighten the hand with a flower hand-carved from a single block of citrine or amethyst, which pairs beautifully with gold. Marie Gas, the artistic director of the house that bears her name, revives the golden twist of an earring created in the 1980s within the Amarante collection. Thus, it entwines fine cabochon-colored stones to sculpt each ring, necklace and earring, adding depth and light. Color is also a domain that Gigi Clozeau has always explored. Her delicate long necklaces, chokers and small bracelets can be layered to add a pop of color to our outfits and make us feel (almost) like it's summer. Aurélie Bidermann, on the other hand, has chosen her iconic Chivor medallion to illuminate our necks with pendants that act as talismans to be worn like treasures close to oneself. The Chivor gracefully reveals a constellation of precious stones (diamonds, emeralds, blue or pink sapphires) that animate with the movements of the body between two circles of glass rimmed with gold. At Fossil, it's time that speaks on our hands in a playful ring watch where malachite is surrounded by a gold-colored setting. /public-objects/0cec2a39-d693-466a-995d-49b2f6ec7af4-899b7fec-013f-4aca-8198-2f0bc0398cc1-GEM-T%20-%20Photos%20-%20Substack-9.webp Image sélectionnée Brilliance, colors and gemstones dare to contrast in the collection specially created for Christmas by Japanese designer Mio Harukata. To the sound of jingling bells and freshly baked cinnamon biscuits, one is tempted to wear her brooches and single candy cane, Christmas tree, snowman, or polar bear-shaped earrings, set with fine and precious stones to illuminate a coat and the face. These are magical and delightfully nostalgic creations! Thus, jewelry awakens and warms. The houses have understood this well: they multiply the palettes, play with gradients, and revisit their classics in a chromatic version. To buy or gift a piece of colored jewelry is the assurance of a radiant present that lives and brings joy. /public-objects/54914e02-1892-42c9-a450-8e89260924ed-506d5e63-61b8-4837-9da8-7ac264e4132a-Copie%20de%20Copie%20de%20Copie%20de%20Christmas.webp Image sélectionnée
