The Six Timepiece Jewels Competing at the GPHG 2025

Just as cinema has its Oscars, watchmaking has been in the spotlight since 2001 thanks to the GPHG. The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève annually rewards creations and industry players whose creativity and contribution have made a significant impact.

For the 2025 edition, six exceptional timepieces have been shortlisted in the "Jewelry" category. Among the selected watches is the high jewelry version of the futuristic Serpenti Aeterna from Bulgari, in which the house's serpent transforms for the first time onto a white gold bangle set with brilliant-cut diamonds and emeralds. For its part, Chopard presents Swan Lake, a secret watch made from ethical white and yellow gold and titanium, featuring a swan and worn on a satin strap adorned with white feathers with a feather-shaped buckle. A unique piece, the result of over 1500 hours of research, design and artisanal work. The D de Dior unfolds in a version called Buisson Couture, imagined by Victoire de Castellane, part of a collection paying tribute to Christian Dior's love for gardens and flowers. Thanks to an impressive setting work, the rose gold of the dial disappears in favor of a lush bouquet of diamonds, pink sapphires in various shades, and delicate tsavorites reproducing the natural and abundant effect of a wonderful garden. Piaget lights up the Jewelry category with an iconic Swinging Sautoir in vivid hues with its roots of rubies, spinels and opals. A transformable necklace that is worn on a hand-braided chain by the house's artisans. Independent watchmaking is also highlighted through a creation by Simon Brette. The dial of his Artisans Jewelry Chronometer in platinum is studded with a sparkling snow setting of more than 300 diamonds that accentuate the mechanics of the movement. A ring of emeralds and custom-cut diamonds, invisibly set, rhythmically marks the hours with brilliance. Finally, Van Cleef & Arpels showcases its emblematic Cadenas watch, which slips onto the wrist thanks to a fluid double snake chain bracelet. A yellow gold jewel whose case is paved with snow-set diamonds and enhanced by a row of princess-cut sapphires. Which of these jewelry wonders will be rewarded? The answer will be revealed on November 13th ... /public-objects/d7e66b4e-07d4-4950-9aca-22724f20adc1-c8a9db6a-5ba4-40a2-91dd-129495790d67-GEM-T%20-%20Photos%20-%20Substack.webp Image sélectionnée
