Milano Jewelry Week 2025, Milan's Other Sparkle
From October 16th to 20th, Milan shimmered to the rhythm of Milano Jewelry Week, transforming the city into a living laboratory of creativity centered around a journey of jeweled experiences.
No grand anonymous hall or standardized booths: the city itself becomes the stage and guiding thread. It takes the public, whether professional, amateur, or simply curious, on a journey to discover the beauty of jewelry in all its forms. For the fifth edition of this event, which has become an essential highlight for the industry, historic palaces, galleries, workshops and schools welcomed more than 350 exhibitors from 40 countries to experience this cultural show. This year, the fair aimed to showcase the ongoing dialogue between heritage and innovation that permeates jewelry. At the Palazzo Serbelloni, "The Jewelry Hub" highlighted high jewelry houses and avant-garde design, while the Palazzo Bovara hosted "Artistar Jewels", an international showcase of contemporary jewelry. More than 800 pieces were on display: conceptual jewelry, wearable art, unique pieces or precious sculptures, exhibited by designers from all continents. In the same venue, the "Talent Show" allowed academies from around the world — from Milan to Beijing, from Bucharest to Buenos Aires — to present their students' work, outlining what the jewelry of tomorrow will look like. Notably, the observed trends confirm a search for expressiveness in material: glass, textile, wood, recycled metals, and raw stones impose their authenticity. The increasing fusion between craftsmanship and storytelling also becomes a driving force of creation. Jewelry is now a language, conveying emotions and personal stories more than formal perfection. Another underlying movement: the rise of ethical jewelry. Traceability of gold, circularity of materials, transparency of supply chains... Aesthetics are now coupled with a clear commitment, shared by both creators and collectors. Milan did not just exhibit jewelry, it celebrated the vitality of an art in motion, in which creation is as much thought as it is worn. /public-objects/089cb1e5-092a-4a49-a40c-12b194a4ff48-8405b383-c834-4fc6-aeea-5c6ac6a4ffee-GEM-T%20-%20Photos%20-%20Substack.webp Image sélectionnée
