Jewelry, a FABulous Art?
Dubuffet, Picasso, Degas, Chagall, Soreau, Bury... and, alongside the greatest artists, the most beautiful antique pieces, and internationally renowned designers/decorators, a few jewelry artists not to be missed under any circumstances.
At the 3rd edition of FAB Paris 2025, that took place from September 20 to 24 at the Grand Palais, it was only natural that jewelry and art mingled once again. The creations of Lydia Courteille, which were composed of a fantastic cabinet of curiosities, surprised with her new collection, Think Pink, a joyful variation of her famous bestiary, while Brazilian Silvia Furmanovich enchanted with Kashmir, a collection featuring unexpected materials, from papier-mâché to abalone marquetry, and even tagua nut, often referred to as "vegetable ivory". /public-objects/220b2bdf-d2c3-4ad4-b72f-a7918b0ed183-b2dd5bd9-9425-4ef1-8521-a9abaf935a68-R1520-GAR-RHO-DIO-P-02.webp Image sélectionnée We also witnessed the audacity of Frédérique Mattei and the modernity of Walid Akkad. For the first time, VKD Jewels was showcasing its exclusive selection of vintage pieces as well as its own exceptional creations designed by Aimée and Fleur, the daughters of the maison's founder, Jan van Kranendonk Duffels. As for designer Isabelle Langlois , her presence at FAB was also a first, on a stand shared with American Seaman Schepps, who was exhibiting his pairs of shell earrings, a classic model, or rather iconic, first created in New York in the 1940s.
