HIGH JEWELRY - The Two Gardens of Anna Hu

Now based in Monaco, the former prodigy cellist Anna Hu unveiled two collections born from the same theme: flora, during the Parisian Haute Couture.

In doing so, it extends the house's floral obsession and its penchant for dialogue between the East and the West, which has been ingrained in its DNA since its inception. A single gesture connects them here: the cabochon, this ancient cut, cherished by the courts of Persia and Imperial China, which favors depth over brilliance and restores the stone's full roundness. With Route des fleurs impériales ( Imperial Flower Route) , it is color that leads the dance. Around pink tourmalines in hues that the house dubs "neon raspberry" and "electric fuchsia", four creations weave a continuous mosaic of flora, where the frescoes of Dunhuang, the brocades of the Silk Road, and Byzantine mosaics emerge. The necklace brings together 13 pink tourmalines totaling 163.67 carats, 271 Burmese pink sapphires, and 74 rose-cut diamonds; the ring isolates a nearly 15-carat cabochon at its heart; the bracelet and earrings extend the motif, with sapphires and diamonds orbiting around the master stones in a play of transparency and lightness. /public-objects/59f9d0ac-31e3-4ce0-9102-79a2e5990ed9-f14caf0b-bdbe-43d6-a452-04cafe7ae11e-ANNA-HU-HAUTE-JOAILLERIE-Route-des-Fleurs-Imperiales-Tourmaline-Earrings.webp Image sélectionnée /public-objects/4aca302a-7a42-4fb7-8053-728c53061756-38584c41-dfe5-42a3-baa8-68ced02f668c-ANNA-HU-HAUTE-JOAILLERIE-Route-des-Fleurs-Imperiales-Tourmaline-Necklace.webp Image sélectionnée The Jardin Émeraude de Monte-Carlo ( Emerald Garden of Monte-Carlo) collection, on the other hand, draws inspiration from the exotic Monegasque garden hanging from its cliff, where cacti reveal a whole spectrum of greens under the southern light. Here, the spotlight is on Zambian emeralds, cabochon-cut to let the depth of the color speak. The necklace lines up 42 of them, five of which total more than 113 carats, on a bed of 1,373 diamonds; the earrings respond with four cabochons of 60 carats. From silk to cactus, from imperial pink to dynastic green, Anna Hu composes two gardens that echo each other and remind us that for her, the most beautiful gem is the one that facilitates a dialogue between worlds. /public-objects/9a2bce28-83dd-4bee-9b4c-8a5a7bf323e1-0cb17891-7d4f-427d-8ed3-211035b0ef33-ANNA-HU-HAUTE-JOAILLERIE-Jardin-Emeraude-de-Monte-Carlo-Emerald-Earrings.webp Image sélectionnée /public-objects/9a91d0eb-8dc5-4e17-ab3d-feee7c56eb03-c87b38d4-9996-4890-a45c-80ae99d41dd9-ANNA-HU-HAUTE-JOAILLERIE-Jardin-Emeraude-de-Monte-Carlo-Emerald-Neckalce.webp Image sélectionnée
