On the dawn of its 60th anniversary, Pomellato unveils Stile Libero, sixty-five pieces where the Milanese house boldly revisits its historical obsessions, color and gold.
This collection revolves around three chapters—Visionary Colors, Magnetic Gold, and Hypnotic Shadows—which convey a vision of freedom that remains unscathed. Color, first and foremost, has been the brand's first act of rebellion since 1967. The Rainbow Supreme river necklace aligns 68 round tourmalines in a continuous gradient, from pink to green; the Mandala Chromia pendant gathers 99 multicolored sapphires around an openwork motif, encircled by brown diamonds; the Drops of Paraíba choker makes 21 Paraíba tourmalines cascade, each unique in its size and shade. Everywhere, brown diamonds, adopted since 2003 and now a color in their own right, come to enhance the rose gold. In collaboration with French artist Sara Bran, especially known for her openwork gold compositions, the house unveils the Arabesque necklace. Hand-pierced in a lace of rose gold and illuminated by 18 rose-cut diamonds, it required 1,450 hours of work. The Ipnotica rings and earrings extend this play of solids and voids into lighter volumes, where shadow is as important as light.
