HIGH JEWELRY - Messika continues its Journey
It took nearly two decades for Valérie Messika to envision her jewelry in color. In 2025, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of her house, she had selected the finest colored gems to adorn, alongside the king diamond, the exceptional creations from the high jewelry collection Terres d’Instinct, inspired by Southern Africa. This year, the founder and artistic director of Messika continues her journey, in the wild landscapes of Botswana this time, to expand the Terres de Contrastes collection: "In my eyes, three words symbolize this collection: power, color, and life. Power, that of landscapes that impose themselves. Color, revealed in all its strength by the light of Botswana. Finally, life, because each creation carries within it a unique breath, pulsating to the rhythm of a country whose contrasts reveal all its beauty."

This blue diamond, classified as Fancy Deep blue, weighs 41.11 carats in its raw state and 20.46 carats once cut, making it the largest and rarest ever discovered in this country. The Kalahari Desert, with its incandescent ochres and golden savannas, inspired the Règne necklace, which reveals at its center a Fancy Deep Brownish Yellow diamond of 15.18 carats, harmoniously combined with a cloud of mass-set diamonds punctuated with onyx. As for the salt pans of Makgadikgadi, a salt desert with fragmented geometry, they inspired the Python Rubellite necklace, a river of diamonds with exceptional flexibility, enhanced by an oval rubellite of 13.54 carats that seems to ignite like a sunset.
