The Maison, widely known for tirelessly drawing its inspiration from nature, offers an unprecedented interpretation today. Its new high jewelry collection, aptly named A Journey through Nature, borrows from spices and plants to enhance precious stones in the manner of a devoted botanist.
Grouped into three chapters, the 46 creations successively evoke the freshness of herbs, the softness of spices and the warmth of aromas. The first chapter opens with the Tea Field set, whose fluidly curved necklace, set with a 23.81 carat Colombian emerald, required over 1400 hours of work. Verbena Bouquet, on the other hand, elegantly drapes around the neck, fingers, or hangs from the ears in an unprecedented yellow gold mesh, a signature of the maison , adorned with a multitude of pastel-hued sapphires. Aquamarines and Akoya pearls come together in the five Mint Leaf creations, a refreshing composition inspired by the reflections of water. The second chapter begins with Vanilla Flower, which features seven pieces including a spectacular asymmetrical necklace dominated by a 10.71 carat diamond. Then comes the third chapter: Coffee Aroma with its deep sapphires, including a 12.09-carat oval; Peppercorns , a monochrome set in white gold and diamonds echoing the iconic Joséphine collection; and Saffron Flower , a dialogue of yellow diamonds and grand feu enamel paying homage to the rarest of spices. Complementing these flavorful sets, 25 new bee brooches, one of Chaumet's historical symbols, enrich the collection. A natural conclusion to this story that transforms stones into delicate sensations, summoning memories, fragrances and emotions to give high jewelry the unexpected power to awaken the senses.
