FURA Gems becomes the first RJC-certified colored gemstone producer

Following a lengthy evaluation process, FURA Gems achieves an unprecedented milestone in the colored gemstone industry.

An independent audit aimed at certifying the practices of FURA Gems has been underway for several months, if not years. The mining company specializing in the extraction of rubies and sapphires has now reached a decisive milestone: it has officially obtained the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification. Governance, human rights, working conditions, environmental management, and due diligence in the supply chain are all essential evaluation criteria to meet the RJC's code of practices. A first in the field of colored stones, as highlighted by Purvi Shah, Executive Director of the RJC: “FURA Gems’ achievement of RJC certification, as a certified member of our global community and the first colored gemstone producer to reach this milestone, reflects a clear commitment to the highest standards of responsible business practice, transparency, and integrity across the supply chain. This accomplishment demonstrates strong leadership in meeting the RJC’s rigorous standards and sets an important benchmark for the sector. ” Will this soon inspire others? /public-objects/cc1cdc51-1632-479b-a3fc-dca56fb1bab6-abf25ce8-4bb9-4e74-8826-b2637f923c45-Australia%20mine.webp Image sélectionnée
