Expo: Pomellato at the Palais de Tokyo until July 20th

Revolutionary. The word is strong and deserves not to be taken lightly. Yet, it is the one found in the title of Pomellato's very first major Parisian exhibition entitled Pomellato, The Revolutionary Jeweler , to be discovered from June 24th to July 20th at the Palais de Tokyo. Upon reading the history of the Milanese house founded in 1967, a relatively recent date in the long history of jewelry, the meaning of the word revolutionary does not seem overstated. The exhibition, which showcases no fewer than 191 creations, including 139 archive pieces and 52 contemporary works, presents a fascinating retrospective of the maison since 1967. From a stylistic perspective, the first revolution is rooted in its vision of the chain, which, under the influence of the Milanese house, has transitioned from a purely functional purpose to a creative and artisanal signature. Sculptural, delicately chiseled, supple, voluptuous... From Gourmette and Boule to more recent creations like Catene or Iconica, Pomellato has revolutionized the perception of this jewelry element. Volumes and Colors The art of shaping volumes also features in Pomellato's creative repertoire. Through their lens, jewelry is conceived as a wearable sculpture. It invites touch and movement.
