Echo, a Diamond Symphony
A highlight for De Beers London during Paris Haute Couture Week with the inauguration of its new boutique and the launch of five unique Echo pieces.
De Beers made a significant mark in Paris by inaugurating its new boutique at 12 Rue de la Paix, an address highly symbolic for a jeweler whose DNA is founded on the world's most coveted stone. To celebrate this opening, the British House presented a selection of unique high jewelry creations, including the first chapter of its new opus, Vibrations, unveiled as a premiere in this Parisian setting. The focus of the presentation crystallized around Echo, a series of five pieces that evoke the ripples caused by a pebble skimming the surface of the water. The parures play with the idea of resonance: resonance of light in the stone, resonance of volumes, and resonance between polished and rough diamonds. At the center, a 1.12 carat Fancy Intense Blue diamond from Namibia serves as a chromatic focal point, bringing hypnotic depth to the absolute white and transparency of the pav é setting that consists of over 193 carats of brilliant- and baguette-cut white diamonds. Beyond its impressive composition, this necklace transforms into six pieces of jewelry thanks to its modular construction, becoming in turn a tiara, a bracelet with removable tassels, or even earrings. The other pieces in the collection highlight raw white diamonds from Sierra Leone for the first time, sourced from a program combining traceability and responsibility, echoing the commitments of the British jeweler.
