Dior's Lush Garden
On Thursday, November 13th, the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices pulsed to the rhythm of horological excellence during the 25th edition of the Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).
Opening the show, Raymond Loretan, the President of the GPHG Foundation, reminded us that this annual grand event aims to " unite to enhance the image of this fabulous industry worldwide and celebrate a collective adventure ". Not lacking in humor, Antoine de Caunes and his daughter Emma hosted the ceremony. They spiritedly led the evening that celebrates the art of watchmaking and those who passionately capture time each year. This watch blooms like a lush garden on the wrist, thanks to a bouquet of diamonds, pink sapphires, and brilliant pear, oval, and marquise-cut tsavorites. From delicate green to soft and vivid pink, enhanced by the sparkle of white diamonds and the gentleness of rose gold, this magnificent creation is a feat of setting. 480 hours of work and more than 150 hours of hand-setting for the 1088 precious stones on its unique dial were required. Offset at 3 o'clock, the time indication with two small gold hands delicately set with diamonds subtly blends into this garden of precious stones. A true work of art that magnifies the craftsmanship and artistry of Dior Horlogerie.
