It's impossible to escape the Céline phenomenon. Nine million ticket requests, Europe's largest indoor venue packed to the brim, tears from the first song: on September 12th, Céline Dion set Paris ablaze with her first series of concerts in nearly six years.
Twenty-six dates, all seats sold out within hours. For this grand opening night at the Plénitude Arena, she chose Boucheron, and not just any piece. The star appeared on stage adorned with the necklace The Address . A piece that pays tribute to a legendary address, that of 26 Place Vendôme, in Paris, where Frédéric Boucheron became the first jeweler to set up shop in 1893. A necklace that is breathtaking in its presence and belongs to "Histoire de Style, Nom: Boucheron Prénom: Frédéric", the high jewelry collection through which Claire Choisne, the house's creative director, portrays the founder in four pieces. With its octagonal shape, the pendant mirrors that of Place Vendôme itself. Claire Choisne started with an archival necklace and then played on the contrast between white gold, diamonds, and black lacquer. At the center, a spectacular 10.01-carat diamond crowns a succession of emerald-cut motifs, set on several levels, each stone - baguette, round, or emerald cut - is placed to capture the light. Besides the diamonds, the technical prowess lies in the fact that the necklace is articulated to fit the body seamlessly.
