Capturing the moment
While walking in Geneva’s Parc La Grange, Sartoro’s creative director Saro Artinian was struck by the way light played across the park’s flower gardens, shifting with the passing hours. His observation awakened in him a very personal memory of his mother, whose love of flowers he had inherited, and of a blossom dried in the pages of a book.
These memories came together to create Pétales de Lumière, Sartoro’s newest jewelry and high jewelry collection. The idea is not to reproduce a flower’s form. Far from it. The collection seeks to capture the emotion procured when light skims a petal, the poetry of movement, the beauty of a brief instant that becomes a memory. Framed by sculptural volumes and flowing lines, diamonds are as though suspended in the curve of the metal while colored gems catch the light in other ways. Handcrafted in Sartoro’s workshops, each piece is an evocation of movement. Settings spark an intimate conversation between light and the stones which, whether diamonds or colored gems, are chosen for their particular luster. The result is jewelry that comes alive, revealing new dimensions each time it is worn. Pétales de Lumière extends Sartoro’s vision of contemporary jewelry as a fusion of gemstones with Swiss savoir-faire. It also reminds us that the most fleeting moments are the ones we will remember. /public-objects/7b7617d5-c9bc-41e3-b469-6159301c2b80-73869f31-d0e5-4be1-b69b-805e6eb00d25-Sartoro-PetalesLumiere-HJ_1_1.webp Image sélectionnée
