Brand new: Marie Berthelon and Frédéric de Narp
When Marie Berthelon and Frédéric de Narp came across 12 leather-bound volumes containing 3,000 gouaches signed by Léon Rouvenat at an antiquarian bookshop, some executed with Christofle in the early 1800s, the seeds for an idea were sown: reawaken a house that had lain dormant for 170 years
“We want to return this wonderful piece of France’s heritage to the spotlight,” says Marie Berthelon… although Rouvenat was never conceived simply to honor the past. The first French jewelry house to adopt a fully circular approach, it works with recycled gold and vintage gemstones, and refashions its presentation boxes from upcycled packaging. “Rouvenat’s mission is to create new value from human and natural resources across the value chain,” Berthelon adds. /public-objects/3390a96a-128e-4bcc-9ccf-05790ce70503-a2a5b267-a3ed-44ca-86f6-b4be283a5b2c-PHOTO-2026-07-12-13-16-08.webp Image sélectionnée The four partners spearheading the project are all Cartier alumni. They are Sandrine de Laage for creative direction, Coralie de Fontenay, and the two co-founders. Designs take inspiration from the rediscovered archives. The Bolt collection, for example, revisits the nineteenth century rosette motif while Unlock riffs on Léon Rouvenat’s maker’s mark. /public-objects/3740a0be-15a4-48de-93ee-5ca6a695479e-093b4370-334c-41c0-8c96-75604d12fbdd-03_SERIE_FRAME_0152.webp Image sélectionnée Next developments will be on the international stage, with wholesale distribution in the US, exhibiting at fairs in the Middle East and clienteling from the headquarters at 416, Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. This measured growth echoes the brand’s philosophy: “The future of luxury is less 61 about production and more about legacy.” /public-objects/29fc5aa7-de42-4565-9cfd-e15d680dc58e-b5bf5f1a-65e7-41de-8ad5-73bbc63e9dfc-WW%20Portrait%20MBG.webp Image sélectionnée For Frédéric de Narp, Rouvenat launched with a twofold ambition: “We set out to prove that a legacy brand can become a laboratory for tomorrow’s luxury.” This conviction builds on de Narp’s experience as an executive with Cartier, Harry Winston and Bally where, he says, he learned “the strength of a living heritage” and “to accept nothing less than excellence.” /public-objects/cc5155a5-fff6-4793-99b8-c8d9fd9ffd3c-68b869c9-856b-490d-91b2-868a2c5221fa-Rouvenat%207.webp Image sélectionnée Since launching in November 2022, as part of the Quiet Luxury Group, Rouvenat has opened fifteen-plus points of sale in ten countries, including an own-name boutique in Seoul, and has caught the eye of Naomi Watts and Catherine Zeta-Jones. “Our greatest satisfaction is to have established Rouvenat as a legitimate voice in high jewelry,” says de Narp. “You can’t buy that kind of credibility. You have to earn it.” /public-objects/ae186d2d-bcc8-44ae-ba57-ffad6ed0139b-5b400105-b8b3-4117-af76-2d2e1392c9df-251029_ROUVENAT_0608.master.1.web.webp Image sélectionnée
